Auguste Con Amor / For the Love of Auguste
Published in Hardcover by Serres Ediciones Sl (July, 2000)
Author: Brenda V. Northeast
Average review score:

Charming picture book
Spanish translation of a lovely little picture book which tells a story about Renoir - represented by a toy bear. The pictures are beautiful for children - very bright and interesting, each done in the style of Renoir (Mr Bear is in each picture). The translation seems to be well done.

It's a very nice story for young children who like bears, but not very much information about Renoir. Most useful as a story book or to give children a taste of "art."

Lovely Adventure for the Littlies
Baby Bear Goes Camping is a nice, simply written tale of Baby Bear's outing with his family. Accompanied with bright, clear and cute illustrations it is a delight to read to toddlers and for older children to read. The author's style is clear and direct which young children understand and enjoy. A favourite at bedtime!

Excellent book for a child to associate daily activities.
This book has increased my 15 month old son's vocabulary immensly. The layout is perfect for a child to make day to day associations. Should be followed by "Benjamin's First Word Book".

Barney Bear Gets Dressed (Emergent Reader Big Books Series)
Published in Paperback by Creative Teaching Pr (February, 1996)
Authors: Mary Thelen and Rozanne Lanczak Williams
Average review score:

good for teaching ESL
The book is written in a simple pattern which students of English as a foreign language could easily understand. It is good for learning the words "shirt," "pants," and colors.
It's only a few pages, though; try to find an offer at a reasonable price.

Basil Bear Goes to Church: Includes Reusable Activity Stickers (Basil Bear)

Authors: Marilyn Woody, Dominic Catalano, Dominic Catalino, and Rosemary West
Average review score:

Grandkids love this book!
My grandson (5) was immediately captivated when given this delightful book. He enjoyed the story and had great fun with the stickers. The book is not only well-written, but sturdily constructed and will provide many hours of fun and blessing.

Baxter Bear and Moses Moose

Good book about problem-solving and friendship
Delightful book that introduces children to Baxter Bear and Moses Moose. Baxter is different from the other bears because he collects hats. He is faced with the problem of where to put all of his hats. Moses has his own problem: cold feet. Baxter decides that a moose rack and Moses decided that a bear rug are the solutions to their problems. How those problems are ultimately resolved and how these two find friendship are the rest of the story.

Be Quiet, Pooh! (A Winnie the Pooh First Reader)

Hum de do Honey
An excellent First Reader Book!! This story is about Pooh being his merrily self. He takes a walk each morning singing a silly tune, when he wakes up Rabbit. Rabbit gets so mad. Then the one day Pooh decides not to walk by, Rabbit misses his morning encounters with Pooh. This is a very cute story with catchy words. It is also very funny!! My two-year old son laughs histerically everytime we read this book. He loves it and takes it everywhere we go. In the back of the book is a picture and word matching game with objects in the story. There is also a word letter recognition activity. A great educational book with lots of humor and fun!

Beany and Scamp
Published in Unknown Binding by Putnam's ()
Author: Lisa Bassett
Average review score:

excellent book
This book is delightful!!! My daughter and I first heard it at storytime at our library and enjoyed it so much that we came home and bought a copy. The story line is cute and the pictures are very engaging. The little bear "Beany" wants desperately to sleep yet stays awake to help his little friend squirrel "Scamp" find the nuts he had buried to get through the winter. The silly adventures they go through following Scamp's treasure map and the way they are able to find their way home even though they are hopelessly lost are fun for children to figure out as the story is being read. The little fireside picnic (after the nuts are discovered under the mat outside Scamps door) is a cute celebration of friendship and a perfect treat for Beany before his winter nap. All in all, a fun book for child and parent alike. One to read again and again!
